The GOSPEL of the Kingdom of God

"Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel'" (Mark 1:14-15).

The theme of Messiah Yahshua (Jesus Christ's) message was the good news of the Kingdom of God. This is made clear by Matthew, Mark and Luke. Luke records Yahshua in His own words describing His purpose: "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent" (Luke 4:43).Yahshua (Jesus) came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of Elohim (God) (Mark 1:14). Matthew tells us, "Yahshua began to preach and to say, ‘Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand' . . . And Yahshua went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom" (Matthew 4:17, 23).

Luke 8:1 confirms that Yahshua Messiah (Saviour) did exactly what He said He would: "Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, Preaching and bringing the glad tidings [the gospel, or good news] of The kingdom of Elohim" This message of the Kingdom was the heart and core of Messiah's teaching From the very beginning. Together, the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John use the term "Kingdom of Elohim" in 53 verses. The gospel Yahshua Messiah (Saviour) brought is clearly about this Kingdom.

What about His disciples? What did He command them to preach? Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick" (Luke 9:1-2). Later He instructed others to proclaim this same message. "After these things the Messiah appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go." He instructed the 70 to proclaim, "The Kingdom of Elohim"

Some have assumed the gospel was first introduced by Jesus Christ in His earthly ministry. The gospel, however, is much older than that. It is called "the everlasting gospel" (Revelation 14:6). The last four verses of Hebrews 3 speak of ancient Israel's unbelief and the sad fate of those who died in the wilderness, not entering the Promised Land. Hebrews 4:2 continues the story: "For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them." Israel had heard the gospel but failed to respond because of lack of faith. Hundreds of years before that, the patriarch Abraham also heard the gospel (Galatians 3:8). Both of these passages confirm that the gospel was being proclaimed before Messiah‘s (Christ's) ministry on earth. In describing how, at His return, He will reward those who have been faithful to His way of life, Jesus Christ (Yahshua Messiah) revealed that the Kingdom of God has been prepared for us far longer than we can imagine. "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world" (Matthew 25:34).

This good news about the glorious future of humanity has been Elohim's plan from the very beginning! Messiah's part in that plan, including His sacrifice to pay the penalty for the sins of humanity, was also established from the very beginning (Revelation 13:8; 1 Peter 1:18-20). This was the good news given to Abraham-that through his descendant, Yahshua Messiah, all nations would be blessed (Galatians 3:8, 16).

The Kingdom of God was proclaimed by Elohim's servants. In particular, Moses betrothed the Israelites to Yahweh Elohim at Mount Sinai After escaping from the Egyptians and while travelling en-route to the Promised Land. Moses gave them Yahweh's Teaching and Instructions or The TORAH, to model their Lives on. This TORAH was a model for the Israelite Society to live by. The TORAH comprised the first 5 Books in the Old Testament and was taught to all Israelites before Yahshua's birth. These teachings were summarized into 10 Commandments on stone tablets and were of such importance that they were housed with the written Torah scrolls in the Arc of the Covenant in the Temple. This Writing was often interpreted as the LAW of ELOHIM (GOD) in the New Testament.

The first part of the good news is that Yahshua (Jesus) has given himself as a sacrifice, being the final sacrificial lamb, in place of all the millions of lambs and cattle that were sacrificed  for sin and offering over the centuries, and while the Temple was in operation in Jerusalem.

Yahshua came as the "suffering servant" to pay for past and presents sins committed by humanity when repentant souls ask for forgiveness of their sins. The Jews did not accept Yahshua (Jesus) as the Saviour or Messiah, as they were expecting a warrior king to save them from Roman rule.

In 70 AD the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans (by divine providence) and sacrifices could no longer be made for offerings and  forgiveness of sins. However Yahshua explained to His disciples that in his absence, he would send the Holy Spirit to live with each repentant sinner, and that their bodies would now become the temples of the Holy Spirit. They also needed to study the TORAH in order to learn about his teachings and instruction for life. This is part of the good news. The rest of the good news is that Yahshua will set up his kingdom on Earth at the end of Six Thousand Years, which is at the end of time, when he will come to earth to end the 3rd world war which will take place in the region of Israel in the plain of Harmegeddo and he will rule over the Earth for 1000 years. Read Zakariah 14 which explains that those of the nations (gentiles) who are left over after Armageddon, will come up to Israel every year to the festival of booths, otherwise those nation will not receive rain on their land. Yahshua will reign on earth for 1000 years. His Government will be based on the TORAH (LAW) and he will rule the Earth with an iron rod. During the Millennium the devil will be chained in an abys per revelation 20:1-3. Then the TORAH will be taught to all mankind. His Torah (Teaching and instruction to live by) and this will enable mankind to live together in peace during the millennium. At the end of the 1000 years, John says in Rev20:7-9 that there will be a 2nd resurection and judgement will be passed on the wicked, then they will be thrown into the lake of fire with the devil. Then John describes in Revelation 21 verses 1-4 he says, at the end of the 1000 years "And I saw a renewed heaven and a new earth for the former heaven and the earth had passed away and the sea  was no more. And I, John saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalyim(the city and residence of Yahweh) coming down out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, and I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying," See, the Booth of Elohim  is with men, and he shall dwell with them and they shall be His people, and God (Elohim) Himself shall be with them and shall be their Elohim . And Yaweh shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away"

When Yahweh's chosen people who follow his TORAH and keep his commandments are resident in the NEW Earth, Ezekiel 11; 19-20 tells us." Then I will sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols and I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I shall take away the heart of stone out of you and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit in you and cause you to walk in my statutes and you will keep my commandments, Then you shall dwell in the Land that I gave to your Fathers and you shall be my people and I shall be your Elohim." From the position of the Earth in the Universe Yahaweh will rule the entire Universe (Heavens) YES! This is the GOOD NEWS of the Kingdom of Yahweh  (GOD)

The word GOSPEL, means "Good News"

All Eastern religions have names for their gods, such as Allah, Budda, Muhammed, Krishna, Visnu etc. They refer to these entities as their Gods. It should be obvious that the word GOD is a title and not a Name. Most Christians  forget that the Bible that they use was written by Hebrews and most people only know that Jews are involved. However Hebrews history goes back to Abraham , Isaac and Jacob. Jacob had 12 sons and he was renamed Israel by God (Yahweh). Moses brought twelve distinctive Hebrew tribes out of Egypt to a place Yahweh named Israel. The Jews (Judah) were only one of them. Moses received the 10 Commandments from God (Yahweh), at Mount Sinia enroute to the promised land (Israel)

Most Christians are unaware of the fact that the Creator's true Name (Yahweh or YHWH) has been hidden (or substituted) almost 7,000 times in Scripture. This is strictly against the Third Commandment, which tells us: "You shall not take the Name of Yahweh your Elohim (God) in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless, who takes His Name in vain. Exodus 20:7.Although the classic English translation is not to take His Name in vain, in  Hebrew, the word ‘vain' is actually Strong's H#7723, "l'shavah." This word does not translate into English directly, but the real meaning of this passage is actually somewhat more akin to:You shall not desolate the Name of Yahweh your Elohim, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless, who desolates His Name. Exodus 20:7.

If we study out the root of the word "l'shavah," we see that in addition to not taking His Name in vain, the commandment is not to desolate, not to cover over, not to disguise, not to substitute, and not in any other manner hide His Name. While we certainly must be careful not to take His Name in vain. Yahweh tells us in many places that He wants His true Name made known in all the earth. And indeed, for this purpose I have raised you up: that I may show My power in you, and that My Name may be declared in all the earth! Exodus 9:16-17. The word "GOD" is not a is a title. There are many places in Scripture where Yahweh poetically emphasizes the incredible importance of loving Him, and knowing His true Name: (Psalms14) "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My Name. 15) He will call upon Me, and I will answer Him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honour him. 16) I will satisfy Him with long life, and show him My Salvation (Yahshua)." Psalms 91:14-16. Since Yahweh repeatedly tells us how much He wants people to know His true Name, it is surprising how few people know that His Name is not ‘LORD.' In fact, the name ‘LORD' actually translates as "Baal." Some Christians are shocked to learn that when they call on the name of "The LORD', they are actually calling upon the name of the pagan deity, Ba'al. Christians find this fact very confusing, because they have received so many blessings by calling upon the name of ‘The LORD' in the past. However, without condemnation or judgment, once we have learned that the name ‘LORD' translates as Ba'al (both in ancient and modern Hebrew), then is it not superior just to use Yahweh's true Name,   instead. If names are not important, and if it is OK to call Yahweh by the names of other deities (such as Ba'al), then why not simply call Him "Satan"?

Truly, these times of ignorance Elohim overlooked, but now (He) commands all men everywhere to repent.... Acts 17:30)  That Christians do not intend to sin by calling upon the name of Ba'al, and that Yahweh has overlooked their transgression in the past is not a good reason to continue breaking the Third Commandment. Once we know Yahweh's true Name, we should use it; for as we will see, Yahweh does not hold them guiltless, who call Him LORD (or Ba'al). Then it happened, when Ahab saw Eliyahu that Ahab said to him, "Is that you, O troubler of Israel?" 18) And he answered, "I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father's (Jeroboam's) House have, in that you have forsaken the commands of Yahweh, and have followed the Ba'als (or ‘the LORDS'). 1 Kings 18:17-18. Genesis One tells us that living beings pattern themselves after their parents; and Eliyahu is here rebuking Ahab for encouraging Israel to continue in the false practices of his father, King Jeroboam:  Now therefore, send and gather all Israel to me on Mount Carmel, the four hundred and fifty prophets of Ba'al (The LORD), and the four hundred prophets of Asherah (or Easter), who eat at Jezebel's table." 1 Kings 18:19.

Since most Christians never learn Hebrew, most of them never learn that the name LORD means Ba'al. They are also typically ignorant of the fact that the name Asherah means Easter. However, most of those that do learn the difference usually still ‘hop between two opinions', calling Him both Yahweh and LORD, in an attempt to simultaneously please Him, and man: So Ahab sent for all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together on Mount Carmel. 21) and Eliyahu(Elijah) came to all the people, and said, "How long will you keep hopping between two opinions? If Yahweh is Elohim, follow Him; but if The LORD, (then) follow him!" But the people answered him not a word. 1 Kings 18:20-21. (Read this entire scriptural account of Eiijah's confrontation with the Priests of Baal) People are creatures of habit. Once they get comfortable with a certain name, they do not like to change, be they right, wrong, or indifferent. Once told that the name LORD means Ba'al many today similarly answer not a word. Perhaps they are not really sure which name is correct, or if it really makes any difference.
